350 crate motor. oil pressure problem and knocking even after work.?

you might have to drop the pan if the knock sounds low. it could be rod or main bearing or the oil pump. before you put the new pump in did you pack it with petroleum jelly ( vaseline) if you did,nt then the pump will suck air.
